Female homelessness

Few hours ago, I was coming back from the dinner following a Math Colloquium at university and entering the tube I saw an homeless woman and gave her some money (maybe because of the sub zeros temperatures this week) while pointing out to the Canadian mathematician I was travelling with that I can't bear female homelessness.

In moments like this, I never know if I should congratulate myself for experiencing empathy towards those women (I am told to lack empathy towards humans in general, so I am willing take anything I can get...) or whether I am being a bad Feminist for lacking the will to look at those homeless women with the same cold-heartedness I look at their male counterparts.

The truth is that I hate Feminism for making me ask myself the above question in the first place...
