One Coin for All of Your Cards

This is a perfect example of completely missing the point of interface improvment. The original problem was "we (regular american folks) have too many cards, we need to get rid of them"; proposed answer: Let have one more card. Yes, one more, because at places that do not let you swipe and where you need to use your pin, this new card will be useless.

And with regards to the proximity sensor, if you are the kind of idiot to forget your card(s) somewhere, you will be forgetting your phone as well.
